Asyad deploys smart data management solutions across its entire maritime fleet

Committed to improving its business performance by integrating 4IR technologies and smart solutions throughout its operations, Asyad Group has signed a technology partnership agreement with Onsor Technologies, an Omani IT start-up to provide innovative solutions to the Asyad Shipping fleet.

The agreement builds on Asyad Group’s strategy to engage the private sector to support research and innovation and leverage new technologies to develop systems that meet the needs of the maritime sector.

Onsor Technologies will review the current requirements of Asyad’s marine fleet and work to improve its operations by developing IoT sensors to be installed in some of Asyad’s vessels to wirelessly transmit engine performance data and readings to servers. dedicated.

These devices that enable better and faster data processing and analysis using machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms will help monitor and improve the performance of the Asyad Group fleet.

On this occasion, Ghaith Al Darmaki, Chief Technology Officer of the Asyad Group declared: “Considering that innovation is the engine of business growth and operational excellence, we have partnered with Onsor to equip our advanced IoT-based sensors that will enable real-time data integration and processing.

Asyad Shipping is a leading shipping service provider operating a well-diversified maritime fleet of approximately 65 vessels with a total deadweight capacity of 9.7 million dwt, meeting the changing needs of its customers.

Its fleet includes VLCCs, LNG carriers of various sizes, chemical and petroleum derivatives tankers, LNG carriers, bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels and container ships.
